SOSSÂ® Invisible Hinge model #216IC is ideally suited for most types of doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick. The SOSS Invisible Closer gives you a closer that is totally invisible from either side when the door is closed. The closure rate is completely adjustable with an allen wrench after installation, and does not require removal of the hinge. Installation can be either inside the door itself or inside the door jamb. SOSSÂ® Invisible Hinges open a full 180Â° and are a single action hinge. The Underwriters Laboratories labeled the 216IC SOSS Invisible Closer hinges can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad, steel composite or wood core swinging type fire doors and frames with 20 minute ratings. Allow one spring closer for every 20 inches of door height or portion thereof or one invisible closer for every 55 lbs of door weight or fraction thereof, whichever calculation demands more closers. Recommended spacing for use of one closer is half of the distance from the center of the door to the center of the top hinge. Please reference hinge spacing drawing for multiple closers.
