The 1800 Series has beendeveloped to inexpensively guarda single door opening fromsmoke and fire, in place of anarray of expensive products. Inaddition, it will allow unimpeded,easy access throughout abuilding while not affecting itsintegrity to control the spread ofsmoke and/or fire.Upon interruption or loss ofcurrent in either the H or SFspecification, the unit willautomatically close the door fromany angle of opening. This iscaused by release of the electromagnetic solenoid, thus allowingthe door closer to perform itsfunction.The DORMA 1800 Series HoldOpen (H) function is designed forbuildings where it is desirable tohave smoke/fire doors in theopen position under normalcircumstances, but which mustclose upon loss of current.
